I bought a new iPad recently and know from experience that I don’t care for the magnetic covers that Apple sells (they don’t offer enough protection, tend to slide off, don’t work all that well for vertical viewing, and are pricey).This cover ticks all my boxes: It’s sturdy, offering good protection for my iPad. It offers both horizontal and vertical viewing very simply and easily. The price is outstanding and it’s attractive.Someone else might complain that the slender profile of the iPad is made thicker by this case but I personally am not bothered by that; to me it’s a small price to pay for the advantages it offers.I bought a very similar case several years ago for my old, smaller iPad. Like this one, that cover was durable and inexpensive (might have been from the same company, not sure). This cover is very similar but with two significant upgrades: one is the ability to turn the iPad so that I can read it in vertical format and the second is that the “bumpers” that keep the iPad from sliding are better on the new version.Very happy with this purchase.

Great for 4.5 years, but…
I have been using this item for about 4.5 years. Has done its job admirably. As you might expect, after 4.5 years it has started to show its age. This cover was used almost every day. It was twisted and turned and abused, but held up well. Started to fray around the edges. But I have no complaints. I am ordering a new one today and expect it to last just as long. Excellent product for a very reasonable price.

All in all, a great buy!
The folio itself is attractive with the added bonus of a front outside sleeve to hold a few papers or a passport. Additionally, on the inside there is room for two credit cards or business cards. I like that you can slip the iPad in easily from the right-hand side and there is a Velcro piece that attaches to the back of the cover on the inside, to hold the iPad securely in place. The folio itself appears to be pretty sturdy and well-made. Time will tell if it is also durable, but it seems to be, and for the price I think I’ll buy another one just in case, because I love this so much.Notches offer full access to power, sound, speech, and the home button. The ability to rotate the iPad to a vertical or horizontal position is very convenient, with horizontal strips on the bottom cover that you can use to angle the iPad for viewing, or you can just lay it flat or for holding. There is a little elastic slot for holding an Apple Pencil, although I found that I have to adjust it a bit when using the strips for angling, since it’s slightly in the way. There are plenty of small circular holes at the bottom for the sound to come out although I did have to gently push some of the cutouts with a paperclip. They were scored/cut, but were still in place. While the very edge corners of the iPad are not fully covered or held in place by anything, the folio itself extends past those corners so I feel that they are fully protected in the event that I drop it on its corner, which I did with an earlier Mini iPad in one of those plastic cases with the thin auto lock tops, which cracked the glass, so that’s important to me.This also has the auto lock, but to ensure that it takes, make sure that your rotation has the right side of the iPad near the notch for the Apple Pencil. I had changed my rotation on the iPad itself and then rotated it again using the folio and that caused the magnets to then be on the wrong side, causing me some confusion when I didn’t hear the magnetic click.

A fine product
Attractive, yet not totally handsome. In public it actually looks alright. It’s cheap cardboard wrapped in some leatherish product and somewhat ill fitting. I hated it at first. I did love the versatility. There are many gorgeous iPad cases out there that do nothing but look cool. The ones that did cool stuff were disgusting rubber ones that looked like they should be in a bathtub or on a construction site. 5 months later I’m happier with this than when i received it. It’s molded itself to the iPad. Shows no wear even though I put through plenty. I’m not a device dropper so I can’t speak of protection but I’m very pleased with looks, versatility, and durability. This is the best small amount of money I’ve spent on cheap factory garbage. This is an honest review. This a good buy.

Love this case!
This case looks great, is well made and the material is good quality. I love that it swivels but the best part is it stands upright without slipping as some of the others I’ve had. Others have slots to set the base in, but would slide and fall backwards as you type, The slots on this one are sewn on leather strips and they keep the ipad standing upright as I type. Nice that it has a place for credit cards, although I don’t need that. Glad I found this one!

Ich wollte eine Hülle, die es möglich macht, mein iPad auch hochkant zu benutzen, damit ich die Lautsprecher oben oder unten habe, denn einseitige Tonausgabe (links oder rechts) war für meine Ohren recht anstrengend.
